Problem uploading calendar to razr V3c

The quick explanation: I have connected via bluetooth with no problem, and uploaded pics and mp3 ringtones. The problem is that when I try to upload my calendar off my pc, it won't accept it. When I try the iCal format, it says that the format is not recognized, and when I try vCal, it accepts it, then says the file is too big to open (and it's only about 10 KB).
Are there any ideas on what to check? Is this a common occurance?
