I'm new here so I apologize if this has been asked already. I just recently started using BitPim. I got my girlfriend and couple of friend's phones to work with it. But when I connect my Sanyo 8300, it just shows USB device instead of Found New Hardware Wizard. How do I configure it for Bitpim, if at all possible. I really appreciate any help at all. I'm really new to all of this. Thanks.

You probally need a USB driver for your phone.

you need to install the sanyo drivers from their website

I can't install a driver because my computer is saying one is installed already for it and its just reading as UNKNOWN DEVICE on my device manager. If it helps it says the driver is from Microsoft it says. I have tried to uninstall it but it just comes right back when I reconnect it. I'm lost as of now.

sounds like you ned to install the drivers again ..unknown device needs the drivers click on unknown device and reload the drivers from your disk and you should be ok..... as far as pitbim under settings choose browse and that will let you choose one of the available modems to connect to to choose the com if it wont detect it automatacally and as far as the fone type choose yours if possible, if not choose "other cdma" from the list.
