What happened when you installed the software on the mini disc were there any errors? I ran the software on the mini disc on windows 98 and windows xp and had no errors. Does it not recognize the com port or what exactly does it say when you connect the cables?

Actually, serial com connections are not plug and play, meaning that windows will not detect the hardware unless you try to find it (like trying to establish a connection to the device).

If all drivers are installed properly, you need to restart your comp after you plugged the cable into your computers serial port for windows to recognize it, like mentioned above. Now, i here windows 2000 pro needs SP1 to be able to run a lot of applications (games, productivity software)...so make sure you have SP1 for windows 2000 pro and any other service packs. Give us an update if these suggestions work or not. If not, we can get into the more nitty gritty stuff

on topic with data cables and what have you... what do you all think of that data suite? looks like a fairly pricey lookin software

and interacts heaps with the phone/sim addresses and what not

phone is slick, except for the fact that

how come when i allocate an mmf (bugle) for an alarm clock melody, it doesn't activate it... im trying to have a "sleeping" profile where im asleep, the tones are all off except alarm so i can wake up from alarm, and not phone calls or messages

i just get something that sounds like the siemens swing midi instead... but when i have it on normal profile it works

help meeeeeeeee please

using version 05 firmware (contemplating upgrading the firmware if it will fix it, but too chicken******** to do it

I like the software better than the software I was using with my s100. I erased all the bugle and preset ringers in the s55. I loaded a bunch of polytones and voicetones that I use for alarms and sms notification... I just cut and dragged basically... cut from the file they were saved in and dropped it into the sounds folder in the software. In your mobile you can then go into menu 9-2-4 and set what sounds you want for ringers, alarm, messages etc...
