SLVR L6 Menu Editing Problem

I just got a Motorola SLVR L6, and I want to edit the menu. Whenever I open mma_ucp in P2K Menu Editor V2.3 (or V1.7, which I also tried) it only shows one item, "Received Calls," where the full menu tree usually shows up. Is P2K Menu Editor unable to read SLVR menus?

I used to have a V551, which actually has pretty much the exact menu I would like to put on this phone. Would it work to swap in the V551 mma_ucp file for this one? My thinking is that if for some reason P2K Menu Editor can't read the SLVR menus, maybe it's formatted differently. Or maybe it just has extra options but is backwards compatible? I've got everything backed up, but I'm still afraid to mess around with it without some reassurance.

I'd still like to be able to edit the SLVR menus anyhow. Does anyone have any experience modifying SLVR menus?
