I am currently using the LG 9800. I am looking to get a new phone to complement my new Dell Axim X51v. I am looking for a phone that will be fairly simple to use to connect my pda to the net. I'm fairly new to the cell phone world ( other than the mundane that everybody uses phones for ) and have been reading quite a bit.

I am currently with Verizon and would like to stay with them. Modding is not an issue as i have lots and lots of time to read these forums and have already bookmarked 4 pages for use at a later date. I have no problems sitting down and figuring stuff out and following instructions.

Another thing is i dont really like the idea of having to pay 60+ dollars a month to do this so any phones that are good for tethering ( i think this is the term used ) would be good.

EDIT: If switching to another carrier would be better then i can do that. Cingular is fairly good in the DC area from what im told.

Any info would be great.
