I already have my mind set on this, Im not going to change it, but I have one question. Does it really look that huge when it's in "brick" mode? I read that it's about 5.83 inches, and when I looked at clips of people holding it, it didn't seem big at all. On youtube a guy was holding it and it looked average to me, but another clip on a site had a british guy holding it and it was ginormous in his hands. So I measured my hand and it came out to be 8 inches, from the tip of the wrist, to the tip of the middle finger. 5:8 not bad at all. To also test how big it is, I opened my v557, which is 5 or more inches when opened. So that's not bad, if I can walk around with an opened flip to my ear, why not this great phone. Anyway, just wanted to read your opinions on how huge the brick mode is and what do you think of the phone in general.

i used to carry my 9500 on a belt clip in a case ofcourse and my pants were falling... lol.. its not that big.. its reasonable.. it actually looks pretty cool. its called a brick cause of its thickness not of the length. trust me if u dont mind holding on to something big. get it.. i already got my self 2 lol... im stupid.. but its an amazing phone.. no vibration though but oh well. lol.. good luck getting it. where are you getting it from??

Opinion's on the phone's size will vary with each person. Some will think it's huge, some won't care. I had the chance to use the 9300 for a little bit, and it didn't bother me. Of course, the 9300 is slightly smaller than the 9500. If the size doesn't bother you, I'd say get it. It's a good phone overall. Plus, you can change the facepletes.

Im getting it off of msk electronics for $423. Im glad both of you replied. The both of you eased my nerves, at least I know it's thick and not long as heck.

yeah .. its big compared to other phones, but the space is very well used and you are very thankful for the size when using the keypad. I think the 9300i is a good alternative if you don't mind the loss of the camera.

I have the 9300 and love it. I believe the 9500 is a bit smaller. I wish you couldn`t change the face plate tho. I don`t think that is a good feature because the dust that gets in the small screen drives me crazy. I`ve about given up on cleaning it all the time. I wish it came sealed up tight. That said I love my 9300, and the no vibe feature I thought would be a major bummer ,,,isn`t. You have other profile options. Being able to set it down on a table and type with fingers, not thumbs, like a mini laptop is one of the things I like best. Is it a big brick??? Not to me it isn`t.

9500 is bigger not smaller...sorry my bad. That`s what I meant to say.

I love my 9500. It is by far the most useful phone I have ever owned. Everybody askes me in amaizment what it is and when I tell them they love it. I don't find it to be BIG. I have to of them, one I have taken everywhere with me and one that's still in the box never been used. The one I use has gone all over the world with me. I don't travel with a laptop anymore, just my 9500. I can't say enough good things about it.

Like I said I have two of them and want to sell the one that is in the box. It has never been used and is still in the plastic. If your interested please PM me.

I hate that theres no vibrate feature.

the no vibrate thing is a personal gripe. I never use it on phones that have it (feels....awkward).. I wish it was blessed with a faster processor. It's still a good phone and just talking about it makes me miss it that much more.
