my usage patterns are about-
1 hr of talk/day...
email (goodlink/yahoo) and spb weather update every hour...
i use the 3g internet maybe 10-15 minutes/day...
i get a 3g signal all day...
on battery, my backlight is set to 30%...
activesync is set to only manually sync...
after 12 hours, i consistently have 20% or less remaining on my battery life...
running original rom on tytn...
for the record, over the past year i've owned a kjam and 8125...
i am hoping cingular has delayed the 8525 release pending a better rom...

I've totally disabled 3G, and only reenable it when I am downloading podcasts or tethering to my laptop. I've had too mnay problems transitioning between GSM and UTMS networks; the call drops every time and I can't make another calkl for a few minutes after that.
That, coupled with the battery drain, made up my mind to stick with GSM unless I need the bandwidth.

you just dont know how to manage your energy, that' all!
y u need to update your weather every hour??
today, it' sunny, are u worry it might rain in the next hour? OR
it' a rainny day today, are u hoping it will be sunny in the next hour?
and what is wrong with using backlight at 10% instead of 30%??
