So my wife just ruined her 3125.....

For some reason she thought her phone wanted to go swimming in her diet coke. I guess she thinks that phones and diet coke go rather well together....

The phones most likely toast. She said it won't turn off, or on, one of the two. Both screens are blank. Gee, big surprise.

Anyone have any ideas for options, here? I'm not sure exactly when I bought the phone, and trying to figure out if it's within the 30 days, if that will even help with the whole soda bath... Cingy has no idea when I bought the phone either. Talk about frustrating....

Any help or thoughts is greatly appreciated!
Edited to add:
Just found out the first use was on 10/3, so I called BCS to order it around the 28th. So, hopefully I'm just barely inside the 30 day period.

Do they offer the 30-day guarantee if there's damage to the phone? I don't think so... Good luck with that one!

yeah, I can't imagine 30 days return covers damage like that. Do you have the little white dot inside of the battery cover that is now pink/purple?

I dont understand. What is this supposed to mean? Why wouldnt cingular know when you bought it? Besides, the 30 day return policy does not cover ignorance or accidents. The phone must be in 100% mint condition when you return it. Insurance would be your only option IF YOU ALREADY HAVE IT.

Phones have water detector that voids warranty or return. My wife just droped V3 in the water and I was force to buy a new one. Now I need to find the use for older one, which still can be powered but both screens are off.

Haven't seen it yet. She said it wasn't wet for very long, so I'll try to dry it and then clean it with alcohol. 30 day policy won't cover the damage. HTC wants $198 to repair it, Cingy wants $295 to replace it. Toasted my upgrade on this, and the only viable option I can think of is adding another line to get the discounted price. I'd thought of that anyway, just to have a back up line, in case anything ever happens. Then again, I have phones and new SIM cards, so I don't really need an extra line. I was planning on doing the extra line on the 8525, if I had to. Damn women....

Dude, just buy a new one. It may be 1/3 more, but you'll have the confidence that it's a new device, not a new device that got broken and then refurbished.
