he said the car was more of a "show" than go. he knows the engines in them are weak. he wants 1900 for it but it bluebooks at 1610 for good condition. what do you guys think? go for it?

I wouldnt pay more than 1500 if I were you. That's a lot of miles, even for a honda.

i wouldnt pay more than 14.... its 14 yrs old.

I wouldn't pay no more than 1400 for that. KBB good means only minor physical defects in it, non-working AC is quite major problem because it's pretty expensive to fix.

Friend of mine just bought a 90 Tercel for 150 bucks off local police auction. That guy might have done the same thing and add some rice in it to bump the price, who knows.

I woudln't pay that much... however, if you still are going to go for it make sure you check the clutch. Put it in 3rd, and dump the clutch - should jump forward and instantly die if the clutch is good.

i would keep it in mind, but continue to search.

you mind something a bit younger with less miles.

Only reason I think he is selling over the blue book value is because he soup up the car and looks really nice.

But as you said, there's tear on the driver seat and the A/C need to be replaced.

I say no.

If he wants to sell it that much, he have to find someone who is stupid enough to buy it or he need to fix the interior and fix the A/C.

Mods really shouldn't add onto the price like that, unless he put in a turbo, supercharger, or a wet nitrous system... which I don't think he did.

Go ask any company that buys cars; they don't pay squat (or very little, usually actually less than a stock config) for mods. Actually, just ask NineToez... he's a Toyota salesman so he knows how it works.

Should you? No.

Yep. It's harder to sell a car that's modded. Whether it is true or not, the impression people get is that the car has been driven hard.

Yea with a car that old you never know whats happened to it. The clutch its expensive to fix and a pain to fix. Save the money and be patient. You'll be happier in the end.

Not buying it anymore, thanks guys! Mods can delete this! Getting the accord from the previous post!

naa... if you can do the clutch replacement yourself it won't cost you more than $200-$250

thats too much for a 15 year old car.. my friend got a 90 honda civic hatch for only 500.. it lasted 2 years and then it died.. I wouldn't pay more than 800$ for that car.. cause it won't last long..
