I just got a (hero) phone through helio and I was wondering how I can set my own music as my ringtone. if I can't do that then crap... cause the tones that come with it are lame and the ones I can download from helio are equally lame. if there are sites out there that i can download different tones from (ie trance) i would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.
thanks for your help.

I have found that you can use any mp3, just cut it down to the part of the song you want.. about 30 seconds worth so it doesn't take up too much space. Besides the whole song won't play when a call comes thru. Cut the track and then change the file extension to .mmf Then you can use the Media mover or Data Manager from Helio to put the ringtone on your phone. The big downside to this phone is that it doesn't allow you to assign individual ringtones, you can assign group ringtones. Today however I had a brainstorm moment and realized that if you create a group for each person you can then assign them individual tones. I have only done this with one contact and it worked great. I have no idea if there is a limit to how many groups you can create. I would say create individual groups for a few friends and then let everyone else be in the normal groups. You know.. girlfriend/boyfriend get their own group... parents.. whatever... you get the picture I think. If anyone knows the limit to how many groups you can create.. that would be helpful to know!
