1) quit SHOUTING!
2) what do you mean you barely bought it??
3) use bluetooth to transfer your contact list over.

lg 6100 does not have bluetooth... or else it would be a breath to do the list transfer.

I'm assuming your old phone was a non-3G phone, since I'm not familiar with that model. The LG CU500 can use non-3G sims, you just won't be able to make calls with it. So using your old phone, save your contacts to the old SIM card (you'll need to search through the phone's menu tree for how to do this). Then move the old SIM to your CU500, and copy the contacts from the SIM card to the handset. Then put your new SIM back into the CU500.

qpst is for cdma phones, phones using the qualcom chipsets
it will not work on a GSM phone that is different technology
I reasonably sure the 6000 is VZW cdma phone, i have NO real idea what the cu500 is, but if it is Cingular or Tmobile it GSM and qpst won't work, if its sprint, you can try it.
but you'll have more luck using bitpim to export the contacts from the 6000 as a CSV file ( ext / format )
many programs including outlook use that format
it's your best chance if your going between carriers an technologies to use the CSV format,
then find the NEW software needed for the new phone and import the contacts.csv file to the new phone
