US Wall Charger not working for L2

I ordered an unlocked L2 off eBay, it apparently was shipped from England and came with a European wall charger and US adapter which works fine. But I ordered 3 wall chargers (1 for home, work, and business trips) to replace the European one, but when I plug them all in it just lights the screen up and doesn't charge it (no Charging... or changing the ring mode). Both of my car chargers work fine though. Any ideas? I can return the chargers, but having to order 2 more European wall chargers and adapters would be a pain. I'm starting to think that switching to the L2 was a bad idea, I'll probably get my 8125 out of retirement and hand the L2 over to my little brother.

Did you ever get a reply to this ? We just got an L6 (North Africa version) from MyWorldPhone with a Continental Europe wall charger. I thought it was holding a charge overnight but it wasn't. Now it is flat. I can buy a car charger but wanted to see if you got a response.
