hey guys my friend wants to trade me a s710a for my unlocked black housing v400.... since the s710a is locked to cingular and i have t-mobile i would need to unlock the phone before using it..... is there any way to unlock the s710 with some programs or something trough the usb cable... i unlocked my v400 with the cable for free... soo im wondering if i can unlock the s710a for free 2 most likely it has been done right? plzz reply guys i really want this phone to work wit my service... plz dont just tell me to use one of those unlocking sites or that its against forum rules to talk bout unlockin or something... send me a pm or anything pleaseee

Take the S710a and unlock it. You can unlock it at a store for around $30-40 or unlock it yourself with DaVinci team.

yeah but the thing is i dont wanna pay 30-40 dollars to unlock it..... the davinci team makes you pay too i think...is there any way to unlock it for free???

Nope, no way to unlock it for free. Maybe get your friend to contact Cingular for an unlock code.

oh so the only way is to pay huh.... okay i know many people with cingular account ill do that then.... um what about flashing the s710a and all of that can that be done for free like with the motorolas and stuff

No, I think you need the original owner. I have no clue man, call Cingular and find out.

Flashing S710 isn't free, well only way is SEUS but that's not considered hard flashing like Wotan, DaVinci, etc.

First before your trading his phone. Find out more things about Sony Ericsson, because judging by your posts, you sound like you have no idea what your doing, don't trade just because, do it for the benefits it will bring you.

well my friend isnt the original owner of the phone either... i think u just need to have an account with them for longer than 92 days.. i dont really care if i cant flash the s710 ill be fine with it.... what is seus.... im familiar with motorolas n p2k and all of that and ericsson stuff wont be too hard to learn i hope..i want to trade with him because the s710 is better it has bluetooth expandable memory and all dat good stuff plus v400 is outdated... so u cant customize s710 for free at all like the menu and icons and that stuff??
