KRZR K1m Alltel basic questions

Hello, I'm new as you can see. Forgive if these q's are either obvious and/or basic. 
* Just purchased the KRZR, downloaded motorola phonetools and updated to 4.23 I believe. I do not believe Phonetools supports the KRZR as of yet, so I read to currently choose the RAZR v3c for now in Phonetools menu as the closest possible match. Correct?
* This program will not let me manage my ringtones, only the phonebook plus other basic phone features. To get ringtones to my phone I've been using my laptop's bluetooth link. Is there a better way?
* I had a RAZR v3c before buying the KRZR and it too was with Alltel. With Axcess apps I was able to download 'Mobile IM' which allowed me to connect with AIM, Yahoo (and in the future MSN, they were working on that). When I try to find the 'Mobile IM' app in Axcess now with my KRZR it does not show up. Are Axcess apps phone specific?
