As you all know most of the ringtones are quite embarrasing to use if office enviroment. Most HTC phone users are proffesional users. Please post your Ringtone in this thread. I am currently using Windows Default, got sick of CTU, looking for another.

Thanks

lol, i noticed my spell mistakes after posting but too lazy to correct them. I am so tired.

Turn the ringer down if your embarrased of them or put it on vib. As long as you don't have "secret lovers" you will be fine. LOL!!!

Well I can most certainly understand... I use a cricket sound for my SMS, running river rapids for Email, Thunder for Alarm, and Running with the devil for my ringtone... Funny as that sounds... the intro is easy to hear and intercept before it gets into the main tune...

I use Do-Mi-So from an old Nokia phone and also a submarine 'ping' as my ringtones. I'm sure you can find these on the net. I also use a specific air raid attack siren for certain calls. They are unique from the over modulated music ringtones people scramble to answer in order to stop the embarasment.

For SMS I use the Star Trek boatswain. (Old Star Trek, cause I'm old)

I do need to adjust one tone though and that's for E-mail. I'm currently using the 'beep beep, mail mother f****r' - it makes me laugh when I hear it, I'm laughing now thinking about it. Perhaps the Jetson's doorbell would be better, but oh well.

Think about something other than music and you'll find a ringtone you like that might be more suitable.
- Morse code
- Child laughing
- A particular sound effect
- Klaxton
- Animal sounds

I use a simple voice ringtone telling me "You have an incoming call." Also configured to announce e-mails and text messages.

AT&T Labs makes it easy (and free) using their text-to-speech demo located at:

I tried to load the oldphone.wmv from my pocket pc to my dash but I wasn't able to get it to show up in the ringtone section.

Does it have to be a .wav to be a ringtone?

Posted by: gapboyt

didja put it in Windows/Rings?

Posted by: SynthetiKid

i'm big into EDM so most of mine are either intros or break downs to fav tracks, i'll post a few when i get home.
roni size - brown paper bag
pendulum - vault
Poe (not edm) - hello hello
my current one is the outro to the 'boondocks' cartoon.

Posted by: SynthetiKid

where should we post the ringtones?

Posted by: pen25

ya know if anyone wants we can collect all these ringers and then zip em up and post em on one of the free share sites like mega or rapid. i can create a quick gmail for it and have you all email it with your ringers. what do you all think? set the subject to professional/funny/ect that kinda stuff.

Posted by: pen25

well i went ahead and did it. howard.f.rings at gmail

this is the email addy i set up for anyone who wants to do a collective of rings. when we get a good group of rings i can zip them and up them to one of the uploadsites.

i use the att website to make my ring tones. i use the audrey ( english bia) to announce emails, txt or voice mails ir goes "richard. you hane a new text message" for all my contacts i made custom ringers: "Richard. Incoming call from xyz", this way if the phone is across the room or in my pocket, i can knwo who's calling and if i want to put the effort into answering it, works great, but it can be a playa hater sometimes

Posted by: Death_Dealer

Posted by: pen25

Just make it a wav or mp3 file and put it on your memory card. No folder required, just dump it the main directory for the card and it will show up as an available ringer.

Posted by: redwildebeast

my ringtone is Trip Like I Do by Crystal Method and Filter. it starts off with about 15 seconds of a cool sound before any words music.

Posted by: Johnny217818

Incoming Calls: I Know You See It by Yung Joc lol
Texts: Nokia Beep

And when im in school, its always on vibrate

Did you try downloading the ringtones from Microsoft? I use them and they sound great and are not childish at all.
