A newbie question, but how can i get text files to my phone to use for reference (reservations, documents, etc.)? I have a micro sd transflash as well as a bluetooth connection, so it is no problem getting the data over. I just need to know how to store and read it.

Thanks

You can't do that. You can view videos and jpgs though - so you could try saving some jpg's of the text, but that probably won't work very well.

If you have some web space, one thing you could do is make an html file with the data you want on it. Then upload that html file to the web, and then view the html file from your phone. And if you do the browser hack, you'll have the snapshot option available - go to the html page using mobile web, and then save a snapshot of it. Then you can view that html page whenever you want. When you view a snapshot, you are viewing it locally and not even using your minutes. A bookmark is different, but a snapshot is stored locally on your phone.

As far as I know, the browser hack works on the k1m - it works on the V710, E815, V3c and V3m.

Good idea about storing as html on a webpage. I don't know if the browser hack will work, as I am using axcessweb by alltel and not verizon.

The browser hack works for Alltel phones as well. The hacks were discovered by using the Alltell wap_elem_d file which had more features enabled by default. Then the values for full feature set were derived from there. It should work for any Moto running the Openwave 6.XX browser.

Not sure about Verizon, but if they're like Alltel, the phone has an email address. (ie [phone number]@message.alltel.com) Send an e-mail of the info you want to keep to that address. It comes in as a text message. Just lock it so it doesn't get deleted.
