Easily saving a recent call on the 3125?

How come when I receive a new phone call from someone and I want to save it. I'll highlight the recent number and the click save, it wil then take me to my contacts.

Why can't I just highlight the recent phone call I want to save and then click save, the type in a name and then done.

I'm sure it's probably user error but I'm not used to how to save a recent phone call on this phone.

Yeah, it works a little differently on this phone. When you click save, it takes you into the contacts menu and at the top you'll see "New Item" at the top and then the list of your other contacts below that. If you want to save it as a new contact, select that with the left softkey and from there you can type in the name of the new contact. Then scroll to the option you want to save it as (home #, mobile #, work #, etc.). Click the left softkey again (which will say "Select") and the number automatically pastes into that spot. Hit save and you're done. If you want to save it as an additional # for an existing contact, go to that contact name and do the same thing.

Thanks that is actually pretty easy, it's just that it wasn't something that I was use to doing.
