Hello,
I am a current subscriber to a local CDMA carrier, Bluegrass Cellular. They offer the Audiovox 6600, but since I renewed my contract last Dec and bought a Kyocera Slider at a discounted price it would cost me $555!! I have found some formerly Verizon 6600s on eBay for a reasonable price, so I called Bluegrass Cellular customer service and they said "We can try to activate the phone. But even if we activate it, it will eventually stop working and you will have to come in and have it reprogrammed." He went on to tell me it happens 100% of the time. Now, I'm no expert, but i'm thinking maybe he was BSing me so I would buy their phone. Why/how can a phone deprogram itself, and is this going to be more trouble than it's worth for me? Also, I plan to use this phone for voice only, as I have a Tmo SK3 for data.
