i have no clue if any of you can help me but if anyone can someone here can!
on amazon they have the 8125 after all kinds of rebates for 79.99. i am an exsiting cingular customer who is out of contract (i mean i don't have a contract right now...)
so i acted like i was buying it and even put that i was an exsiting customer. if its really this cheap ill get it, but i always feel like there is a catch and its actually going to be 300 dollars or something...anyone have a clue?????

I believe you extend your contract for 2 years, and have to buy a 39.99 data plan.

Wirelessly posted (HTC-8100/1.2 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320) UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

It WAS true, I got in on one 10 days ago. The last I heard, they are now only upgrading existing customers that chose a NEW plan.

As for the 'catch', I was willing to sign a new contract and agree to the PDA plan for 39.99

after 60 days, you cancel the 39.99 plan tho...so only have to have it for 2 months.

great...thanks. so i have to wait 60 days? not just a month? i have to change voice plans? i already am on the 39.99 plan and want to keep that...

you can keep the voice plan you have. As for the 60 days, I remember reading somewhere in a rebate form that you must keep the pda plan for 60 days.

i just wanted to make sure i wasn't adding a line or anything...i just didn't understand why i would have to choose a voice plan when i already had one. the people at cingular couldn't help me so thanks!!
