what are the pros/cons of working part-time over full-time? have read numerous posts that part-timers can make as much or even more than a full-timer, is it really that common? is there usually a significant difference in quota? how do the benefits and perks differ?

I think part time is the way to go. You may not make as much hourly as a full timer, but your commission is sick. Very rarely do i not hit the highest tier (140% to quota. While the full timers in my store miss it more.

Part-timers do not get as great a health package.

dose anyone use their health benefits??
i am actually considering going part time.. in my store i have a friend who works part time he's making bank between all the over time and hi is usually like 200% to quota.. its so easy being a part timer

I guess it just depends what hours you work part-time. I primarily work in the evening, so with the rush I can easily blow past my quota.

Im still in college so i am under my parents health insurance till i graduate. So as for part time benefits im not really sure how they are.

interviewed for a full-time position but was offered a part-time position, considering I have a full-time job, is it wise to leave my current position for a part-time position with cingular? some of u mentioned one can make a lot working part-time but the health benefits aren't as great. any other possible drawbacks to working part-time? the store is a fairly busy location btw.

Hey there. I am a part-timer and I gotta say its the best way to go...yes the medical benefits are more pricey ($110 per pay pierod), but I consistantly make my top tier goals. I am in the SNE market, and have yet to not hit the top tier; what makes it so great is that you dont have a set in stone opp goal, but rather your goal changes based on the hours you worked....last month my goal ended up being 47 opps but I really did 157;-)

It depends. if you can hit sales. Part-Time shouldnt be bad for you. Im the only full-timer at my store including my boss. We have 3 part-timers and they dont have any complaints.
