Just out of curiosity has anyone bought any of the new limited edition sidekicks? I think last years were waay better but I'm thinking of buying the lrg one

all google results give me pages with t-mobile and cingular cell phones on it.

No, the Sidekick's data setup is exclusively for T-Mobile..

meaning you can Text and make phone calls only..

No purchases from the catalog or using the web.

Disagree completely!

Love the LRG one, wish there was a way I could make it work with Cingular. That is really the only reason I visit this forum, I am waiting for some magic so I can dump my Treo and sport the LRG SK3!

I exchanged in my Blackberry Pearl for a original SK3 today, so far i'm loving the SK3

one of my bro's friends actually gave me the LRG SK3 a few days ago.
i wasn't able to get it unlocked, so i just purchased the sidekick unlimited data plan for $30/month, to try it out.

anyway, i was wondering if any of you had any issues with the screen brightness.
maybe i'm just used to my k800i, but the sk3's screen is really dim.

The screen resolution is exactly the same as the 2. This was the biggest disappointment. Oh and lack of video player. Either way for what it does, you can't beat it.
