I found guides to take this bad boy apart, but all of them only tell you how to replace the front and back faceplates. How do you take the rest of it apart? Where is the "brain" of the phone? I mean the motherboard or whatever? I wanna replace it with one from another identical phone to switch networks.

I think the "brain" of the phone is actually the part with the USB thingie and where the battery connects. Am I right? Meaning replacing that part would in effect be the same as replacing the SIM card from a GSM phone. I think so.

In order to replace the antenna housing/lower back faceplate, you have to completely disassemble the motherboard and antenna and place them in the new housing. The guide at motomodders.net shows this step by step.

The V3c has all of its processors and memory chips on one 1 inch by 2inch printed circuit board, so remove the one motherboard and that's it. The rest of the electronics in the phone have to do with the LCD's and keypad.

MB removed from bottom housing with antenna assembly beneath.
