$5 Reward for disabling XT9

I'd like a method to permanently disable XT9 for all applications. I know I can disable it on a per-application basis, but it is a royal pain in the butt to have to do that.

I'm looking for a registry hack to permanently disable XT9. I'll pay $5 via Paypal to the first person that can provide a fix that works 100% of the time.

Thanks!
Jim

thanks, have been looking for this as well, but interestingly enough, I could not find how to shut it off for individual apps either in my dash.

The most annoying thing about xt9 is that it *doesn't* always enter a space after you select a "predicted" word and then hit space. In fact it almost never registers the space; it only does it if predicts the *next* word following the one you just entered.

Why it doesn't act like normal t9 is beyond me. With t9 hitting a space on a predicted word results in the word plus a space *always*. This way you can type without looking at the screen. With xt9, you might end up with a bunch of words strung together as one or a bunch of words it "predicted" you wanted entered after the one you just entered. ... frustrating.

It's as if they didn't bother testing it for usability or it is broken on the Dash... (I sometimes see a space being entered but then it backspaces to erase it... weird)

Get 404 Error on that link. Can you paste in the solution here?

haha! I offered a guy $20 to turn it off. Thankfully he couldn't figure it out Honestly i'm not sure what i did either but its off now. You would think there would be a simple setting in the options somewhere to turn that off.. but NOOOOO predictive text is so wonderful, even more so when you have a qwerty keyboard.
