there are study apps, such as Flash Cards, periodic table, Date slate, ect.

Just tell her it would be a good On-the-Go study device, and you wont hog up the phone or internet at your house

thanks,
now i found out that it has nothing to do with the phone, it is the money (montly cost). How do i sell her on this factor?

None here know your situation better than you, but here are a couple of suggestions that might win her over and a little 'Mom Respect' too.

1. Get a job. No, seriously. Anything legal that you can earn money doing and will allow you to do number 2 (see below).

2. Offer to pay for a portion of the service plan each month.
a. If you have straight X's, you will pay $15 towards the plan each month
b. If you only have a Y average for the term, you will pay for $20
c. If you have a Z average, you will pay the whole thing and you are grounded for a MONTH!

3. Propose that you will pay for the voice plan or sidekick plan, prepaid, so that she does not carry the burden for both each month.

If you are able to do any of these things, she might just go for it. You get what you want, she gets what she wants, neither of you gave up more than the other, and there you have compromise.

Good luck!

I never paid anything for mine, but i would suggest the above.

Maybe say hey, I'll help more around the house and I'll do better in school...And pay for a portion. When i was in school, alot of my friends paid their parents 20.00 even though their bill was more around the 50.00 mark.

Anything you can do to show apprecation would make you look good.

Nobody knows your mom more than you, so you should know how to ask

thanks guys,

i have already tried the more help around the house thing and she know that i will do it for like 2 days and then the help will go away lol. I think that i might get a job refing soccer games (20$ a game) but i have to go to thee school to learn about refing and stuff.

thanks,

and another question: if she pays the bills can she see where i have been on the internet?

Posted by: iWonder

no [just filling in for 10 letters because no is obviously not ten letters]

Posted by: TMOBILESIDEK!CK

lol ok thanks. Do u like your sidekick? Just wondering because there are many people on here who hate theirs.

Posted by: iWonder

because they never reasearched their phones.

Posted by: TMOBILESIDEK!CK

what do you mean by that? like they don't like it becuase they bought the wrong one for what they were looking for or something else?

If you have looked at the sidekick itself, the plans, features, capabilities, and restrictions, then you have done your research.

Do you like the sidekick based on your hands on use of the device?
Are you okay with the fact that you can't add free ringtones and apps?
Etc, etc, and blah blah.

Oh, yea that is what i thought he meant, just making sure. I will just buy a few, at least they are not like 4$ like Cingular's are .. I have done a lot of research on this phone. Lol this is like my 5th question, but, since the OTA update is the battery power ok, or should i get get a spare battery t ocarry around?

Thanks,
TMOBILESIDEK!CK
