putting a v170 in digital mode

Just bought a v170 from Tracfone - replacing my Nokia 1100. I'm ecstatic with the phone, except for one issue - standby time.

The phone is documented to have 300 hrs of stand by time, but I've only been able to get ~30hrs. Further reading of the manual/advertisement says 300hrs in
digital mode. Have been scouring the manual and google for how to put the phone in digital mode - to no avail.

Anyone here know how to do so? I've seen many people complaining about only getting 30hrs in standby mode.

The reason you can't find anything about "how to put the phone in digital mode" is because that's the only mode it has...digital.

You're going to have to find another reason for your poor battery time.
