Hey everyone I was just hired by a cingular store and I'm not sure if its corporate or not. Basically, this store has around 18 branches throughout the West Coast and they only sell exclusive cingular lines. I get paid $7/ hour + commission only after i pass the review at the end of the month. Also, I need to go to a Cingular sales training session that lasts for 3 days from 8-5 PM and need to pass that test within 3 months. . Can anyone tell me what I got myself into??

I hope working for cingular is going to be fun.

You my friend are working for an agent I believe.

And you're in for quite a ride, whether you enjoy it or not is basically how much mental stress you like.

50 Million Customer's ='s 50 Million Problem's.

Learn how to deal with them. You do this and maybe you will see those 4 digit commission checks.

7.00 An hour... babe you got screwed. Go coprorate, no one starts out that low. I make 10 and i have the lowest out of my store.... Also corp. training is so much better. You go for three weekends (PT) or two weeks (FT) and learn how, not what, to sell. I would always reccomend going corporate, more money, great benefits, tuition rembursment (SP??), not to mention that union that gets us sunday pay.... why not??

My friend is in the process of getting me a Corp store job at TMobile. If i get the job, should I bail on Cingular???

The only problem is that the job is a "seasonal" job and I'm not sure if they'll keep me or not after the holiday season. Any suggestions? Would I make more commission at a corp as compared to an authorized dealer?

Dude, i worked at a Cingular Dealer called MSWIRELESS. For the most part, working as a dealer sucks. Of course there are exceptions to the rule, but yea. To put it bluntly, Now, as a part-time sales rep, I make more than my old GM and RM at MSWireless.
