p900 - Sim cards no longer recognized?

Hey everyone,

My p900 has been pretty faithful so far, and the fact that I can watch movies on the huge screen is great, as it gets me through my commute on the GO Train (GTA peeps know what Im talking about

)

As of yesterday, it won't read my sim card. My sim works in my backup phone, and other sims don't work in the phone as well. The phone is unlocked. I've tried flashing it (suggested during a google search) but nada zip.

Has anybody heard of this, and found a fix?

Maybe its time for a HUP... E62 perhaps?

Is the engineering menu :

jog-up * jog-down jog-down * jog-down *

I haven't yet, as i figured it may be a hardware problem, but anything is possible. I'll try that tonight.

Any other types of reset?

Tried the reset.

no help, unfortunately.

Did you do a Master Reset?

Main Menu > Tools > Control Panel > Other > Master Reset

If that doesn't do it reinstalling the firmware might be the ticket. Just a guess.

I can't get into the main menu. I did reinstall the firmware once. I'm going to try it again.

Arg. Anybody want to buy a p900 that doesn't read my sim?

You've probably tried already, but hopw about putting a different SIM card in it? Does that work?

Thanks for hanging in with me man, I appreciate the help. I've inserted a FIDO sim from a working phone, and that doesn't work.

I'm going to try the reset again.
