Bitmap and v323

Just got this phone v323 with cellular south, had a v265 on cricket and had it hacked for transfers, my v323 i can get it to be connect on bitmap and i even deleted factory pics, but it will not let me delete facorty ringers in the audio folder. when i click to delete it says " folder blocked by provider" how do i get around this??

also whats the difference between my v323 and the v325? i have look through many thread on different boards for the answer to my first question but still no answer. any ideas

Are you talking about using BitPim?

YES I AM TALKING ABOUT USING BITMAP. i HAVE USED THE PROGRAM BEFORE WITH A DIFFERENT PHONE.like i said when i go to delete the factory ringtones/sounds in the share/audio i will not let me delete them it tells me that the folder has been protected/block by the provider.

You are using the wrong program name. If you search with Bitmap you won't find the correct answer. If you use all caps you will not receive any answers.

Maybe 'cause there's not a cell pgm called "bitmap"

Yikes... iamagolfer, please read those statements again...

You say BITMAP... lulu836 asks bitpim, you say yes bitmap IN ALL CAPS...

Bitmap <> BitPim. So if you've searched on BITMAP you will not find any anwers...

If you are talking about BITPIM (available from http://bitpim.org/ ).. then...

When making use of the File System feature of BitPim... on Some phones you may encounter "this folder has been locked by your provider." error message. There is no known work around for this.

Sorry about the all caps i didnt realize the lock was on and then didnt feel like retyping. I dont know why i called it "bitmap" i know the program " bitpim" and how to useit I used it with my old v265. Do u think if i used the seem edit for file transfer that would do it? I am able to transfer files with MPT but do you think the seed edit would unlock that audio folder?

I think that seems to imply that so doing a seem edit isn't going to fix this!!!

Well it was worth a shot. I was just hoping maybe i just missed something. Thanks for the answers guys and keep up the good work mark your site helped alot with my old phone i had. One more question though, what is the difference between the v323 and the v325? thanks again

That I am not sure of... but all indications are the V325 is Verizon's version of the V323... i.e. Verizon UI, compatibility with MPT disabled, etc... where is the V323 is Moto UI, and uncrippled...

BUT that is just my GUESS....
