Anyways my cousin took a Nokia 9300b with him to Pakistan so the thing is that phone isnt working in pakistan, Any idea why it not be working, according to people in pakistan the b model should work, but i dont know anyone have a clue the phones in perfect working condition the phone just cant pick up signal while it reads the sim card etc. or its probally a crappy service provider no clue anyone has info on pakistan network etc.?

Im assuming the 9300b is GSM 850/1800/1900 and according to GSM World (http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_pk.shtml) most of the networks there are GSM 900 so thats probably the issue although there should be GSM 1800 some coverage in the cities sort of like what GSM 850 is to North America is what GSM 900 is to the rest of the world....

This is not the first time someone has posted about taking a phone without the 900 band to pakistan and not getting service. According to gsmworl, and as posted above, there should be service on the 1800 band. But, OTOH, GSM world is not 100% accurate. For example it lists all the carriers in Nigeria as 900/1800, but I know for a fact that there is no provider with 1800 in Nigeria...they are all 900 ONLY.

If your cousin is using a prepaid sim, there is a good chance they are using one from the 900 ONLY carriers, and that will explain why they are not getting service.
Also, Ask your cousing to verify that the band selection is set to automatic and not manual. If it's automatic, and they are not using there is a good chance there is no 1800 service in pakistan then. It's always a chance trying to use a phone without the 900 band in a developing country, since most of them are atill using the 900 band only.

Most of the Middle East/Far East like China and India use 900 MHz mainly. So that is why the 9300b won't work too well. Getting a cheap 900/1800/1900 phone might be your best bet if you just want to use it one time. Or consider getting a QuadBand phone if you want to use the same phone on both sides of the ocean. Some phones include the N75, N73, N80, SE W810i, W710i.

He Took his K-jam with him too its working with him, but just the 9300b isnt working anyways il give him a call and tell him if he can find out what bands the prepaid service are working on,

The K-jam is quadband (850/900/1800/1900). So, that will work anywhere there is GSM. I guess that kind of verifies why the 9300b is not working...lack of 900 band.
