Customizing main screen text on the Z710i

Hey all,

I stumbled across this forum looking for some help with my z710i. I currently have Cingular, and this is my first phone with a SIM card, so I'm not sure if this is the way things always are or not, but I'll leave that for you guys to tell me.

Basically, in every phone prior to this that I've ever had, I was able to customize the text on the phone's main display. This helps a lot when distinguishing my phone from multiple identical phones (several of my friends have SE z710i's as well). However, it seems to be impossible to do this with the z710i. Is there any way to change the text?

I called customer service, and they said it was impossible to do so. I've generally found that tech support is less knowledgeable than the collective power of the Intarwebs, though, so I'm asking here before I throw in the towel.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Which phones did you have before? From my knowledge I think only Samsung phones allow you to customise the font/size/colour of your main screen.

I'd say just use a really unique wallpaper which no one else has, then you can distinguish yours haha (just have a look at my avatar; that's my phone wallpaper, and I can GUARANTEE you i'm the ONLY person on this planet who has that wallpaper :P. I'll leave the imagination as to where on earth I got it up to you

You can customize that stuff on Motorola's also, but it is not as simple as typing in different text.
