a707 because it's the only one with HSDPA.

depends on what you're looking for. do you want HSDPA and near-razr like form factor or do you want a dedicated music player and semi-decent camera? not sure on the a707, but on other samsungs, the music player cannot be hidden. if you listen to music, you cant do anything else with the phone.

do you even have UMTS or HSPDA available in your area? if you answered no like most of us, then why even bother with a UMTS phone?

Whether you have UMTS in your area, more than likely, it will exist by next year. And even w/o UMTS, which is something I actually tested out in ANS (data group) today, is that it is still is faster than phones that just say EDGE. We were also tethering the device on his laptop and the same results. I was amazed. I would go with the a707 as it can do anything the se 810i can do, but more and faster. One thing that you might like, but i don't is that it is really small. Also one is a flip, the other a bar phone. Both cameras are 2.0MP.

I went from the w810 to the A707, and I say go w/ the A707 and buy the USB and Earphones of Ebay for a total of like $15.00. I love both phones, but the A707 is BY FAR the better overall device!!

I was in this dilemma also, but wound up ordering the A707 because I missed having a flip phone. Also, it uses microSD cards. The $49.99 price on premier also made it a very easy decision.

not quite. the w810i has a MUCH better camera which includes auto focus. also, the w810i has an FM tuner. I dont think the A707 has that. someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

The statement is correct. Never said better, which I was going to say, then I though about it and that's one aspect I didn't measure. FM tuner? If you took a poll, no one here would base there decision on any phone for this reason.

I've actually looked at the FM tuner as a big plus both on my w810i and my w600 when I owned one. I enjoy listening to the tuner at work. it helps the time go by much quicker.

I understand that. But the top feature you are looking for, is the FM tuner?

of course not. but having the FM tuner is obviously a big plus.

has the music player implementation on the a707 been changed? that would be one of the top features i would look for since i use my phone to play music a lot.

You guys should also look at the following:
1. Data Access - if it's important to you, go with A707
2. Watching Movies - A707 plays more file types and has a larger screen
3. Battery Life - without juice, there's not too much you can do

I don't really access data via this phone (I use my BB) and I don't watch movies on my phone, so I went with the W810i.

Battery life is up in the air - supposedly the A707 is better, but if you figure in the juice required to access data, play music, play movies - then I think W810i may have a better battery life.

Just my 2 cents.
