(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hello,

Can someone please point me in the direction of buying a dvd full of movies for sharp 903. I am new on here, and not really a tech person. Love the phone, but want to take full advantage of it. Please advise. I used to see someone on ebay, but everybody seems to have disappeared.

I look forward to any help you can give me.

Ok mate,

Have to start getting clued up on this converting movies busines.. By the way I saw this item on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....0048481969&rd=1

I asked the seller if it would work on the sharp 903 this is response I got...what do u guys thnink could it?

It may work for the Vodaphone sharp 903, depends on the resolution of 3gp movies available on the phone, and the memory card it is used on the phone. Please let us know what kind of memory card is being used for the phone, and please also refer to the description of the resolutions and frames/sec, and see if the phone supports any of the listed resolution types. Thank you

Any advise you can give would be helpful. Also are vodaphone putting the 904 and 905 in the UK market?

This mDVR is encoding video with h.263 codec (bad video quality) and AMR-NB audio codec (lowest possible audio quality for mobiles - 8khz mono!). That means it`s total crap. Like standard video clip recorded with any mobile VGA camera. Good for nokia but Sharp can play HQ mpeg 4 (h.264) video with HQ 44khz stereo AAC sound.
DIY with 3gp converter.

Ok pal,

Thanks for that, so if I have a film on my PC, how do I convert it in the simplest way to sharp 903 format? Please just point me in the right direction Then do I blue tooth it across? Or am I missing something there

Say no word: MobileHackerz 3gp_converter
The profiles: Here (MobileHackerz WIKI)

Chuui/OBS!/Be aware: You need to have Quicktime 6.5 or higher installed for this

I just attached a ready 903SH profile (from the WIKI) with my random editing (the originals are there though, perfectly suitable) to the end of this post for the lazy ones, for the 903SH (QVGA, 15fps, AAC/HE-AAC sound and everything in between).

UncleAllEvil, I think 903SH can't playback AVC, only h.263 (XVid/ basic MPEG-4- codecs). The AVC playback should be on the 905SH, though, as it gets One-seg television, which is encoded in a MPEG-2 capsule with AVC and HE-AAC. Never checked if it could actually decode it from the 3GP files, and the WIKI page says nothing about it, so I fear the worst.
