Hey.
I've been searching around the forums for a while and I'm a bit suprised that there is no definitive thread with step by step instructions on how to connect your 750i to your computer, how to install drivers, what programs to use (and where to get them) for flashing... etc etc.

I'm a little lost at the moment.

I installed the Sony Ericssion Suite... then uninstalled it and tried to rid the computer of all the drivers since I read that I should be using a different set of drivers.
So now I can't get windows to recognise the 750i as a new device... >.<

This is my first Ericssion, before this I owned a Motorola ROKR and was modding the hell out of that, so I wanted to try my hand at the 750i.

Anyone offer some help for a noob?

Well... I right clicked on My Computer > Manage > Device Manger.
There I uninstalled all the SE Drivers and got it to recognize my k750i again.
Updated my firmware though the offical SE site. YaY.

Now I'm looking to flash an unbranded firmware (possibly W800i if I can figure out what I'm doing) to get all the disgusting Optus Zoo stuff off my phone.

Any help on that would be great? Heh?
Even just listing some flashing programs and places to find firmware would be great??

Also, a question I cannot find an answer to through all my searching...
I'm sure it's probably very obvious, but still...

How do you know if your phone is a CID49 or CID36?

Again, anyone with any little bit of info... please help.

Hi welcome, i used to have a motorola E398 and i modded it to rokr..are u from Motomodders?

Yes, I used to vist Motomodders a lot. Very awesome site.
Seems motos are a lot easier to mod... or maybe there is just a lot more info and help around for them.

Heh. Seems we are in the same boat. Went from a ROKR to a K750i.

How are you going modding your 750i so far?

There are actually quite of few mods out there such as changing the look of your media player and changing your menu icons.

You should check out http://se-nse.com

They have a modding thread which is VERY helpful. =)
