I have a KRZR (verizon), have gotten the phone to come up on MPT, and can use most of the features. Also have been able to get the music syncd to the phone.

How do I make it so I am able to make a MP3 play when the phone rings?

Sorry for the ignorance, I am not really that versed in the cell phone tech aspects.

Thanks for the help

The program I use is Mp3Trim . Once you get the fades down and understand how the quick playback works, you will be whipping them out in no time.

Its freeware, if you register it, it will allow you to edit songs over like 7mb's. If you dont I think you can't go over that size. Which is fine for me.

Let me know how it works for you.

I'm a big fan of Mp3 trim as well. If you do have a large audio file, you can just cut it up with Audacity (also free), then use Mp3 trim or Audacity to slice it down to about 15-20 seconds. I find Mp3 Trim is much quicker though.

Good Luck

** Just google for audacity.

I have only used audacity; I need to try the other one mentioned. Audicity works quite well, but has a bit of learning curve to manage stereo and mixed sounds like a vibe&ring, etc. But do NOT use MPT to load your ringtone on the phone, it will reduce the bitrate and the ringtone will not sound like your original mp3 - it loses data intelligence. Use another P2K application to load the ringtone for faithful music reproduction - I like P2KTools (new). Google if you don't have it. Good Luck.

p2ktools 0.8.6 is available free from motomodders.net. It's free to register by th e way..

Also remember when you use p2ktools, go into A:\mobile\audio Delete the two files with the ".db" extension before restarting your phone. These files catalog what audio files you have stored, so after uploading your new ringtones, you won't see them in your sounds menu until you delete those two .db files, then restart

mp3s and midi ringtones should go into your c:\mobile\audio folder
