V3c Razr- Possible to have multiple media folders?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

What I want to do is when I am in the media browser of my standard Motorola based interface, is not have the bundled pics and sounds show up. I'd also like have separate folders for ringtones and full songs. I don't wanna have to surf thru the bulit in junk to find what I uploaded myself with Motorola Phone Tools.

Maybe like this:

Sounds:
Motorola (bulit in Moto/ provider stuff)
Ringtones
Full Songs
Misc sounds

Pics:
Motorola stuff
My pics

Is this possible? I created folders with MPT, but then the files I transfered wouldn't go into the folders, they'd just go into the base audio, pics or video folders.

Do you know of a way to sort your files? My files are listed in the order I copied them over. I want them to be alphabetical. Any suggestions (besides deleting all of your ringtones and copying them back over)?

For the Alltel and other Moto UI based V3C's...

Use the phone's menu to assign the sounds or pictures to Categories... then you have to just select the category on the phone to "narrow" your selection.

Btw, this will also get the correct folders made on the phone, and then when you add stuff via MPT, just drop them into that folder...

I am not sure if this works on the Verizon V3C/V3M because of their Verizon UI, rather than Moto UI.

I cannot find how to do this on my V3c. The sounds listed in "Get Tunes & Tones" has an option, which gives the following only:
1) Set As Ringtone
2) Set As Ringer ID
3) Rename

Can the V3C be loaded with Moto UI?

Yes

Look in the verizon forums for more information. Most people put the alltel firmware on their verizon phones.

Mine is from Revol Wireless, which is very similar to the Altel interface. That method did work. Thanks!
