card not ready on lg c500

i got that error on my lgcu 500, its a transflash card of 1gb. wats wrong. thanks for your help

Who is the manufacture of the card? SanDisk is what I have and works great. Other vendors I understand were not tested and don't always work. For example Kingston cards. I would return the card for a SanDisk if it isn't already.
