I went into a cingular store today to see what phones they had. They had not put them out yet but the brought out a LG cu500 for me to look at. I liked it better than the razr and it has 3g so I bought it.

It came with two number preset in it. Both named *now. They are both *669 one has a phone icon next to it and one has a SVC Icon next to it.

I was hoping someone could tell me what these numbers are for.

Also, how long does it usually take to get the text from cingular to shut down and restart the phone? I cant send messages or get on the web or CV until I get this.

Did you buy the phone with new service? If so you should be able to send text and surf the web after you bought the phone.

The phone will come preprogrammed with a couple of Cingular numbers that are OTA to your phone when you set it up for the first time.

I did not get new service. I shut off the phone without meaning to by taking off the battery. I didnt know it was the door itself. Once turned back on everything works and it is on the 3g network.

Do you guys know what the *now (*669) number does? I guess I will have to call it and see.

You can add features to your account via IVR. Dont mess with it, if you want it to add features ask the nice guy behind the counter.
