Samsung A707 Keypad/Phone Lockups

About 12 hours into my A707 now and a while ago I started experiencing keypad/general phone lockups.

Seems like the phone is getting lagged by an out of control process or something, because sometimes if I let it sit it will "catch" up and start acting normal again. Usually I have to pull the battery out and reboot it.

I can say that it seemingly started after I downloaded a few Java apps. I've now deleted everything I downloaded besides Opera Mini - but either way, it happens without ever running them.

Anyone else experiencing this or have any idea what I might check?

Now it's actually gotten to the point where the phone locks up within a few minutes of reboot, every time.

I would exchange the phone. It is defective.

Curious that it didn't do it all day, and just started a few hours ago though, no?

You should be glad that it happened this soon and not after your return period. If the phone is going to have problems, better sooner than later. Just my .02.

What is happening with your phone just doesn't sound normal.

Agreed. It's continuing to get worse. Glad no one else has replied saying they had the same problem. Taking it back today.
