HipTop2--Wont read Sim Card allof a sudden?

my HT was working earlier in the day and when i took it out to check the time it told me to INSERT A SIM CARD... 
i was like what? so i took it out and put it back in and it auto. restarted and the same thing happened...i checked the system info and my Radio Firmware wasnt UNKNOWN..
i took out my Fido SIM CARD and putted it in my nokia and it worked..and i made calls with it while in my nokia...
WHATSUP WITH THAT?

u might need a new sim card. happened to me once..
