Is Media Net data package needed to get XM radio............

I like the idea of getting XM radio on the phone but do I need the unlimited data package ($19.99) and the XM subsription fee of $10/month as well.
Seems very expensive.
Looks like Cingualr is giving away 3G/HSDPA phones for cheap but the cost
of various 3.5G/Music services are pricey.
Whey would anbyone get this phone if they are not going to Internet browse
or play music.

For XM you will not only need an XM account but the phone must have a Microsoft OS as nobody has written a Java player to access XM.

actually cingular has written a java app for this, it was released about a week or so ago.

Considering it needs 3g to run, and music is enough of a battery hog as it is, I hope you have a car charger.

I see where you can subscribe through Cing but I haven't found a Java player.
