EVDO web browsing while talking on the phone... possible?

I've got a Razr v3c on verizon. I'm thinking that when I move I would like to not deal with the cable company and sign up for Verizon's EVDO service for broadband, and then use the phone as a modem for my powerbook via USB or Bluetooth.
My question is if I'm using my phone to surf the web, can I still send and receive calls? Right now if I just dial in at the 1x speed, it disconnects if a call comes through. I don't think i'd be able to live with being able to use only the phone OR the internet.
Thanks you.

I can with Alltel's EVDO network. But when I have the call, it doesn't send or recieve data at all...

VZW and Alltel both have EvDO Revision 0, which means the phone can do voice or data, but not both at the same time. Sprint is rolling out and US Cellular is testing EvDO Revision A, in which there is no voice, calls are sent as packet data (like VOIP/Skype) so you can call and browse at the same time, because it's all data.

Thanks for the help. By the time I actually need to do this, it'll probably happen.
