Whats the LARGEST micro SD card that the CU500 can handle is it the 1gb or can I use a 2gb. I would like to hear from someone who has already tried it.

1 gig so far

yeah, supposedly it can handle a 2Gig, but I only have a 1gig, so I can't say for sure.

Where did you hear that you can use a 2gig .

I have just seen anecdotal reports of people being able to use 2 GB cards on other forums, although it seems that most people can't use them.

Does the card have to be formatted before use? Can i just insert a new SD card and start putting music on it?

Per LG, the current LG CU500 is only compatible with 1gb transflash/micro sd or smaller. Software update on CU500's in 2007 that will support both video calling and 2GB cards is not yet released.

Lots of misinformation from all sides has been going around but I have not heard of any successful trials with current CU500's and 2GB cards.

Sorry for the confusion.
