SLVR L2 Reception - Good as the RAZR V3?

my att contract is up and both the wife's and my phone are getting a bit tired (i have one of the early v3's and the wife has a v551) so i'm starting to look into new phones for the two of us.

i was (and still am) very happy with the reception of the v3. neither of us care about (use) any of the fancy features on either of our phones. both of us like the look of the L7 but since we don't want any of the fancy features of the L7, were very interested in the L2, which appears to be the L7 without all the bells and whistles.

reception is the MOST important thing to us... with form factor ranking a close second.

so... all this said, does anyone know (heard) if the L2 reception is as good as (or, with any luck, better) the V3?

I think they share the same software and pretty much the same guts. Should be the same. I sell alot of both models and neither of them get complaints on reception.
