Low ringer volume on Pearl?

I've done a search, but can find nothing that might help me address this. I love the phone, really, but have already missed a number of calls because I carry the Pearl in my pocket and outside the ringer just can't be heard - even when set on 'High' volume. Any solutions to this?

No one has been able to increase the volume gain table yet. Why don't you try using the option vib & tone? That should work for you.

Thanks. I do have that option enabled, but now I'm wondering whether I just haven't heard the calls because the phone is in my pocket and the 'pearl' has been moved slightly as I walk and turned the ringer off.

I'm on Voda, in the UK. I know some providers have released a new OS which rectifies this, but I can find no reference on the Voda site, so I guess they haven't. Anyone know different?

Hahaha...there are instrcutions on the site somewhere that tell you what to do. I havent done it yet so I cant tell you..sorry.

I do know that you use your Desktop Manager software though..."Load Application"

Yea, the ringer isn't the loudest, but I manipulated some of my mp3's gain and set that as my ringer. Not exactly the best quality, but I can hear it most of the time. Also, the vibrate function seems very weak. I can't ever feel it vibrate in my pocket when standing. Only when I'm sitting and the phone is pressed against my side.

But it definitely helps to adjust the gain on an mp3 and use that as your ringer. I picked a song with a loud, long intro, so the ringer just explodes when I get a call.

I successfully updated the Vodafone operating system from the BlackBerry site, and goy .61 (even though it said it was .70) It seems to have sorted the constant green light problem (even with the pearl set to pulse when the phone rings) and now doesn't turn the ringer off if the pearl is pushed when there's an incoming call.
