Texas Instruments 220MHz

Is this the same processor as the 2125 but just bumped 20Mhz? I thought I had read it was much faster than the 2125.

Yea, I'm wondering the same thing too. Is this the same OMAP 850 processor found on the 2125 and other HTC PPC phones?

I'd like to think it will be the same 416MHz processor as on the Samsung i320 (it's close relative). Our review unit should arrive in 2 days, and we'll know for sure.

Maybe that is why the battery life is so bad on the 320. All of the reviews I have seen today all seem to list the fact that it is not strong phone for multitasking, leading me to believe it is not the 416. I did not hear anything about the 320 being slow or sluggish.

Pity on that but I will take battery life over faster processor as long as the 220 is not a total dog

So did you get the answer?

Still waiting-- for some reason it's not an easy question to get an answer to, and we've been waiting quite a few days. I have a BlackJack and it doesn't have the usual system applet that reports CPU speed, just processor ID which is indeed the OMAP1710 which supposedly tops out at 220MHz (and is usually sold at that clock speed). Strange that TCPMP reports it as 366MHz though. That app is often off by a bit, but that's a long way off.
