Anyone compare these two?

I know I want a flip phone (to easily carry in my pocket) and want higher then VGA resolution camera so take better pics then the SE z500a camera.

The reason I'm interested in the 3125 phone is I do c# programming so thinking it may be fun to write apps using the compact framework. But then no so sure of how good a phone it is and its battery life. (i.e. just want a phone but would be nice to play with writing compact framework apps for the phone if the phone part isn't much worse)

Had a 3125 and now the a707. The 3125 died after a week and I decided to go with the a707. The 3125 is a good phone. Camera is poor like most phones. The a707 camera is much better but still, its a camera phone. The music player on the a707 is a bit quirky but I have managed to get around most of it. Both screens are nice but there is a lot more on the 3125 screen so fonts are smaller.

One thing I hate about Windows Mobile in general is that when you close apps, they are not really closed, only minimized. Since the phone has only very limited resources, you are constantly running out of memory and either reboot your phone or install an app where you can clear out memory.

It is a toss up as to what your needs are though. Can't go wrong either way.

So did battery life between them seem around the same? (i.e. could go a whole weekend with only a few very short calls and not have to recharge)

Yes no problem at all with either. I usually charge every or every other day depending on use as I don't want to run short if I need to really use the phone one day.

Even at that, the battery meter will still be about 3/4 full after 2 days if there is little or no use. Holds true for both phones.

The only time I find the battery really drains down is the first few days of ownership where I am constantly playing with settings and features.
