New Motorola C155 User -- Need Help Entering Text

Hi all,

I have just purchased a refurbished Motorola C155 and have an account with Tracfone. I am a newbie.

The problem: I cannot fix capitalization errors easily when entering text. I have RTFM (read the *fine* manual) that comes with the phone. It says that I should press the "0" (zero) key to make all lower case characters; tapping the 0 key now just makes a + sign no matter what I do. It is otherwise inclined to make ALL CAPS WHEN TYPING, THIS GIVES THE IMPRESSION I AM SHOUTING. The navigation key just seems to correct single words. I am using the "Tap" input method.

Anyone here know what I ought to do? Thanks in advance.
