Samsung SYNC doesn't like AIM...

Has anyone had the same experience as I have? The first time I ever used AIM on my new sync last week, it worked just fine. I tried signing on last night, I get on, I begin slowly looking thru my buddy list, when the phone just powered off. I power it on again, log on, go to options... same thing. Shuts itself off, 7 consecutive times. I tried troubleshooting too. Now, I did change the AIM message alerts, from default beep to cool/some stupid silly bell noise when not in silent mode, before the issue started. I changed it back to the default/beep noise and I had a little more time before the phone goes off. Anyone else having this issue? Let me know, cuz Cingular's customer svc is as stupid as stupid comes. I also tried with Yahoo as well, same issue.
I'd love to return the phone to the stores.. but I'm going to get the same runaround (not in stock), I know they're saving them for new activ. only.
So, if anyone else has this kinda problem, with the phones sporting the new pink, supposedly fixed, devices, let me know. I'm going to compile a list for samsung. also, will an OTA correct the program or could this be a little more complex?

You need to replace the phone...I had the same issue with my LG CU500..there was no resolution. All IM apps work with no problems on my A707

wow, i had a feeling that was my only option. i spent so many hours trying to get this thing, of course it can never go off without a hitch or glitch.

I'm having the same exact problems. This is my second A707 with the same issue.

Although I do believe that it is working well on some models, I still imagine this is a software problem.

kinda wondering why you would need to download it when its built into the phone?

hit the right direction key! lol

The aim work well for me. I should say the built in aim works well.

mine works just fine. ive started it up twice with no problem. there is a pretty big delay from getting a message and sending one though..

just download another one from getjar.com they have a few and most of them are free

I had the same problem. When my a707 was doing that I was still logged into AIM on my computer. When I logged out of the computer, AIM on the phone worked fine. I'm thinking the Samsung Cingular AIM client can't handle that "logged into more then 1 location" thing AIM does.

hmm...now im getting problems. at first it was when i first signed in, then it would happen later, like 20 mins in. any fixes for this yet?

I have not had any problems at all when using AIM or any of the other IM programs on my phone. I have even signed in more than one location, and it still works just fine.

MSN works fine, I have not tried Yahoo! and AIM has never worked, but the AIM mail client works fine.

Customer Care told me to call AOL for support.

UGH.
