So...I have my 3125 which I really like. But seeing the blackjack makes me jealous. But....I definitely dont want the 8525...I wan to be able to pocket this phone. I would use it to tether my laptop (if anyone can get it working with a Mac) and also we are going to be deploying Exchange activesync shortly.
Opinions?
Anyone know if you can tether to a mac?

the Samsung has a bigger screen, a keyboard, and most importantly, HSDPA/UMTS. I think its worth it.

The instructions on the following web page tell you how to tether a 3125 to a Mac. Just tried it myself and it worked, even though the instructions mention the 2125 rather than the 3125.

the 3125 is a great phone. but if you are going to tether, the blackjack may be a better choice. hard to compare a 40k-170k connection to a 700k-900k connection (those are the ranges I usually get with EDGE and HSDPA).

I quit using my Blackjack and eventually sold it after I got my 3125. I really like the 3125 better.

I just got a 3125 (Free from Premier) and I've been using a Blackjack for about 6 months now:
Blackjack pros:
-3G
-Longer battery life w/ extended battery
-QWERTY keyboard
-Has faster processor
-MicroSD slot is MUCH more accessible
-WM6 is available/will be available soon
-Screen orientation on Blackjack is MUCH better as a data device (easier to read, more text on display, etc.)
-Blackjack has better reception than 3125
3125 pros:
-3125 has smooth text entry and feels more responsive (The Blackjack has a faster processor but bogs down during text entry especially when typing out a SMS. Supposedly WM6 fixes this.)
-3125 has vastly superior Bluetooth stack, supports Voice Command over Bluetooth, multiple connected Bluetooth devices, and has Sim Access Profile (SAP) which is great for people with car kits. Supposedly WM6 fixes this as well.
The 3125 is a great phone, but a lousy data device. It's bearable if you use ActiveSync to sync over some bookmarks but if you try typing out URLs you'll be longing for a keyboard. Same with typing out e-mails or SMSes. Of course, you could pair and carry one of those folding Bluetooth keyboards.
The Blackjack's Bluetooth stack is the one downfall of an otherwise great device. Not only is it missing features that have been standard for quite a while now, but it's so unfriendly that it's almost unusuable for the power user.
Ex: Let's say you've got two Hands-free devices, a headset and a car kit. On any other WM device, say the 3125 or a Wizard, you could have them both paried up and calls are routed to the last one that was turned on or the last one that was used. Let's call this the previous active device.
On the Blackjack you've got to open a program that's buried in the Bluetooth settings to change from one Bluetooth device to the other. The phone will actively refuse to pair with a device that's not marked active in that program, even if it is in the list.
Also the Bluetooth stack on the Blackjack will only respond to button presses during a call, so no Cyberion Voice Dialer or Microsoft Voice Command. No amount of hacking will fix that on WM5.
Supposedly from reports I've read on the final version of WM6 for the sister of the Blackjack, the i600, the new OS fixes the Bluetooth stack so that's it's pretty good. Still not as good as the default Microsoft one though. Too bad you can't switch.
