If so, what plan do you recommend for T-mobile users? Would the customer service say anything about me having BlackJack and can't suscribe any service into it because it's not T-mobile authorized product? Please advise, and thanks in advance. |

How do you have WiFi on your Blackjack? The only options I have are GPRS, Edge, and 3g. Or is that what you mean?
"SGH-i607 at Europe is SGH-i600 and we got it with 3G, HSDPA and WiFi..
So, in fact, american version is a bit different."

Ditch the Blackjack Startup & Shutdown Screens/Sounds -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you find the startup and shutdwon screens on the Blackjack to be annoying, you can get rid of them with a registry change as folows: HKey_Local_Machine>system> -under system there are two entries: Shutdown and Startup -under each one you will find an entry named 1 -under 1 there is a value name of Dll -the default value for both entries is OemAnimationDll.dll -change the default value data of each of those files (startup and shutdown) to the word none (I suppose null would work also but I know the word none does for sure) -after changeing the value to none, back out to the main menu - wait a couple seconds and shut down and then restart, and you will find the annoying shutdown and startup screens and audio are gone. When you shut down, hold the on/off button down for the normal 2-3 three seconds and release. At that point when you normally would have seen the shutdown screen and audio, it appears that nothing is happening, but just be patient and wait the few seconds a shutdown normally takes and the screen will go blank as the unit powers off. On startup, you will immediately see the standard blue Windows Mobile Screen which will be there until the home screen comes up and loads. Just remember that it still takes the normal time to shutdown and startup. I guess all the startup and shutdwon OEM .dll files did was run in the foreground while the normal o/s functions ran in the background. |

There is no reason to have a "My Documents" folder AND a "SD Card" folder, when both are used for storage. The hack I posted lists a way to have 1 folder, labeled "My Documents" that uses the SD card for storage. That way you don't have to constantly move around if your beam files alot. See I beam files over from my PC alot, and they always get transferred into My documents, THEN I have to move them to the SD card for storage. This save a LOT of time. I think I posted it in the Samsung forums. |

LunaC: There you go, internet sharing files extracted from the sgh-i600 official release at samsungmobile.com: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IDHCBRYQ I might take a look at this too as it'd be nice to get internet sharing working. Although it will likely be in the official release. |

There is no phone service here so I can't see if the connection actually works. I don't see there being any problems as the 2 devices paired up ok using a BTPAN. |

I just picked my Blackjack up today and have a couple of questions. Is there a way to set pie to go to a home screen like google. It seems like both the IE and media net icons take me to the same place. Also; whenever I exit medianet and go back it refreshes back to the home page. It makes it a pain to follow scores. Is the anyway to not have this happen. Most smartphones usually do not do this. Thanks for the help. |

I have been waiting for a BJ-compatible SIP client that I could use to make VoIP calls to home (I have an account with a SIP provider from there) because all other VoIP providers are still pretty expensive for my home country. I have already tried fring that came closest to what I am looking for, but even that does not allow complete configuration of SIP settings on client. Support ticket to Fring confirmed this is not available yet. Any help would again be appreciated :-). TIA. -akhawaja |
